What Heirloom does with a cat. The coat is painted in warm, blended strokes, with the boldest touches only where a painter would load the brush — the eyes, the wet nose, the lit side of the face — so the markings stay exactly where they are and the surroundings soften into a painted room.
The photo. Window light, eyes open and level with the camera, a slight turn of the head. Cats rarely hold still, so take ten photos and upload the sharpest; the preview is free.
The size. 12×18 to 16×24 — cats suit smaller, jewel-like sizes on a dark ground; 24×36 if the cat is the room's main character.
