- Upload one photo. Drop a photo at afrodie.com/create — no account, no payment. Daylight and eyes visible is all it takes; a phone photo is plenty. The original is used only to make your painting and is deleted 30 days after delivery.
- See it painted, free, in seconds. A watermarked painting appears in about 20 seconds. Try it in any of our painting styles, take one of our ideas or describe your own — your first three paintings are free, more after you leave an email. Five free changes: circle something to change or remove it, or just say what you'd like.
- Choose the size and texture. The studio shows your painting on a wall at true scale, from 8×10 up to 32×48 inches. Pick Bold texture, our standard, or Subtle for lower strokes. Checkout is handled by Shopify with Shop Pay, Apple Pay and PayPal.
- See the proof. Minutes after you order, the full-resolution proof is in your inbox. You have 24 hours to ask for changes — free, as many rounds as it takes — and a person checks the likeness before it prints.
- Printed on canvas, at your door in 11–15 business days. Fade-resistant canvas with the brushstrokes raised so you can feel them, stretched over solid wood bars with the painting wrapped around the edges and hanging hardware on the back. Made to order and shipped tracked, free within the contiguous US.
Is a person involved? Yes, at the point that matters. Software paints the first pass, the way a studio assistant blocks in a canvas; a person checks every proof for likeness and fixes what is off; you see the proof before anything prints. We don't call it hand-painted, because it isn't.
